Create a Schedule
Be sure to set aside a specific time for the gym and create a routine. According to Matt, “creating a set time for the gym will make you feel more obligated to go. Especially if you put it on your calendar and set reminders. Eventually, it will become a habit and you’ll look forward to each workout.”
Make Exercise a Priority
Make working out non-negotiable. No more excuses, think positively and always be prepared. Bring your workout clothes to work to maximize your time.
Log Activity and Results

Find a Buddy
Find a workout buddy and boost your accountability network. There’s nothing better than working out and catching up with a friend. And don’t be afraid to tell others about your progress, too, whether it’s on social media or face to face.
Reward yourself for hitting daily exercise goals. Try a post-workout smoothie, massage or relaxing in the sauna or whirlpool.
Don’t forget about the most important key to fitness success: fun! Create a playlist of your favorite upbeat songs or download a podcast. As Matt explains, “if you have fun while working out, you will be a lot more likely to stick with it.
